Black & White Butterfly Card

Well, another bad day. It's getting to get a little tiring. I hate not being able to get out and do things. Today, I went to the post office, Wal-Mart, and to pick up a copy of my MRI, and by the time I got home I was exhausted and in a ton of pain. At least I remembered where I was going and what I was supposed to be doing. Last time I went to Wal-Mart, I forgot what I was there for and wondered around for what seemed like forever before I remembered why I was there. So, I guess there is a possitive.

As for my crafting, I am having a hard time getting motivated. I have done very little on the bye bye birdie challenge. All I have done is add a rose and some leaves.

The card I complted today was for the CAS(E) challenge based on this sketch:

This is my interpretation:
This is a 5x7 card white card stock card which has been adhered to a 5.5 x 7.5 in piece of black card stock. The black butterfly band and the black and white butterflies were cut from the Roses and Rosettes Cricut cartridge. The black doily in the upper corner is cut from Elegant cakes. The flower was hand made as such.

Daisy shape: 2.75" x 3 pieces
                     2.5" x 3 pieces
                     2.25" x 3 pieces
                     2.0" x 3 pieces
  1. Ink edges of each petal.
  2. Curl all petals around pencil/paint brush handle, paper piercer, etc. by placing chosen item down the center of the petal and wrapping sides around item.
  3. Gently fold all petals toward center of flower.
  4. Adhere 2.75" petals together off setting the petals.
  5. Adhere 2.5" petals together, off setting the petals.
  6. Adhere 2.25" petals together, off setting petals.
  7. Adhere 2.0" petals together, off setting petals
  8. Adhere 2.5" pieces to 2.75" pieces.
  9. Adhere 2.25" pieces to 2.5" pieces
  10. Adhere 2.0" pieces to 2.5" pieces
  11. Chose a flower center and adhere to center
  12. Adhere to center of doily
  13. Adhere bodies of black and white butterflies together leaving wings free to fold.
  14. Apply bling of choice to body of butterfly.
  15. Adhere to flower
Tomorrow, hopefully, I will be able to work on the bye bye birdie challenge. Please let me know if you would like more detailed instructions or pictures please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know.

Thanks for stopping by.
