A "Sweets" Card

Today had been a lazy day. Even my creativity took a nap today. But, I was blog hopping and came across a new challenge. The blog is The Perfect Sentiments Challenge Blog. The challenge to create a card for any occasion using something sweet. The rules:
1. You must have a sentiment on the front of your card.
2. The Twist is a required part of the challenge and must be included in your design.
3. We must have a minimum of 10 entries before we will award the weekly prize. In the event we don't have 10 entries we will hold that prize and offer as a bonus prize for the next challenge.

So, I wanted to do something different. I figured everyone would be using cupcakes, candy, ice cream, etc. So, I chose to use fruit. Cherries to be specific. Then I took on something I haven't used along with paper.....fabric. So, here it is:

The front:
Plain white card stock
Sentiment printed off computer
Background paper, DCWV Sweets stack
Window: Brown Corrugated card stock from Recollection which has been distressed with sand paper
Branch and leaves from scrap. Branch embossed with wood grain folder then gone over with Stampin Up crumb cake ink. The leaves were embossed with D'Vine swirls and gone over with certainly celery.
Bowl from DCWV scrap
Sky inked with Stampin Up Ballet Blue
Cherries are red scrap paper that have been gone over with glossy accents.
The stems were actually a mistake I made with my corner rounder.
The curtains are part of a fat round I picked up on clearance at Meijer, I think. There was no sewing involved here. The pleating was done with hot glue and the tie backs are bakers twine.
The inside:
Sentiment printed off computer.
I got the bling cherries around Valentine's day from the dollar isle at Michael's.

To be honest, I'm not really sure how I feel about this one.  The concept I think is very cute, but I'm not sure about the finished project. I am definitely open to suggestions.

Have a nice night!
