Sorry I haven't been around lately. I have been quite ill and really couldn't wrap my head around much of anything. But, I am starting to feel a little better. I think because all I have been doing is sleeping, it's now 4am and I can't sleep. So I decided to try a simple card. It's a fall greetings card, but I am pleased with how it turned out.
The card base is an olive colored cardstock from Recollections. The next layers if a dark reddish brown. The images and sentiment were printed on plain generic white cardstock . The leaves were cut from the Cricut Classroom Cartridge: August and September which is free cartridge in the Cricut Craft Room this week.
There are 2 different digital images here. The background is from Elizabeth Dulemba and is called Passel o' Pumpkins. It is colored with sharpie markers. The Raggedy Scarecrow is this month's freebie from Birdie Brown. He is colored with a combination of sharpie markers and oil pencils. I sponged around the images with really rusk ink from Stampin' Up.
The sentiment is computer generated and sponged with Vintage Photo. The background paper brought out the greenish color in the ink. The 2 clear orange circles are called Skittles. I won them in a challenge. They are from
Carrie-AKA A Busy Bee. She makes the skittles by hand which makes each one slightly different and she has a wide variety of colors and comes out with new colors quite frequently. I have fallen in love with them. She currently has her Halloween colors available. The color of the ones I used is called Sunset Orange. They are adhered with glossy accents.
