Travel

OK, I guess I'm back. I did end up falling  back to sleep for a while, but that is alright. Sometimes I think my most creative times are in that haze between sleep and wakefulness. I say this, because I came up with a concept for the CASology challenge which is

When I first looked at this, all kinds of things came to mind: birds, planes, butterflies, bugs, dandelion fuzz, kites, balloons, and the list goes on.  But I figured everyone would be using something like that. So, I put it on the back burner for a while.

Well, I watched "The Lorax" the other day, and figures somewhere in Dr. Seuss's vast library, there must be something on travel. I googled Dr. Seuss quotes and found this one, " The more you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you will go," and instantly knew I wanted to use that quote, but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. So, while I was falling asleep, the idea of an atlas came to me. So, this is what I came up with:
Basic Black and white card stock with sentiment printed from computer. Mini book is also basic black and white card stock except the top page has a section of a map from the Cincinnati Bell Yellow Pages.
Here you can see that I adhered the pages to make the book dimensional.
Top of the card
Bottom of the card
A closer view of the map.

I really think this card turned out cute. Not only that, it is not your typical travel themed card. Not bad for the in between sleep and awake state.

Let me know what you think. Have a great day!
