So Thankful

Hello again everyone! I haven't been feeling well, so this post is going to be short and sweet.

This week's theme at the Outlawz is die cuts/punches. So, here is my project:
Card Base: Brown scrap
Circle layer: I have had this paper in my stash for quite some time. I do not know who the designer is. The pack has totally fallen apart and the front has come off and is gone.
Rectangles: backside of pumpkin paper
Sentiment: computer generated and printed on Very Vanilla paper from Stampin Up.
Leaves: Martha Stewart Punches punched from scrap paper
Pumpkin: Cut from Cricut craft room basics cartridge using scrap orange paper. I ran it through the embosser with the distressed lines EF then inked the edges with Really Rust ink from Stampin Up. I colored in the stem and vines with sharpie markers and added the doodles with sharpie also. I popped the center of the pumpkin up with one layer of foam tape.

I hope you like it. Have a great week and keep creating!

Birthday Stars

Hello fellow crafters! I hope you have all had a great week. This weeks challenge at the Outlawz is stars and snowflakes. The idea is to use stars and or snowflakes in your creation.  I chose to make a birthday card for my mom. There are several pictures of this car since there are multiple aspects to this card. So, pictures first.

Ok, so, first things first....papers: All papers are scrap. I love it when scrap papers come together to make such awesome projects.

Inspiration: came from Pinterest and of course, I can't find the link again. So, thanks for the inspiration whoever you are!

The front of the card is a tag that I elongated and fan folded. It is being held shut with bakers twine from my stash. The paper on the front was embossed with a star EF. The sentiment is computer generated. The stars were cut from the Cricut cartridge Cricut Craft Room Basics.

Inside, again the sentiment is computer generated and the stars are the same cut as on the outside. The ribbon is a scrap from my stash.

I love the way this turned out and I hope you do too.

Food Coma

I am so excited. This is the first week that Paper A La Mode at the Outlawz Challenges has had a sponsor! This week's sponsor......Rick St. Dennis. He has a little bit of everything and all his images are fantastic. If you are unfamiliar with his work, he has two store; one at Etsty and one at Zibbet. Seriously, check it out! His images look complicated, but are really quite easy to color.

On to my project. I have made an 8.5" x 11" sign that I plan to place on the Thanksgiving serving table.
Obviously this is inspired by the Keep Calm and Cary On signs that have been all the rage as of late. Here's the Recipe

Image: Rick St. Dennis Autumn Nap printed on Very Vanilla paper from Stampin Up and mounted on scrap orange paper. This combination was then adhered to box pleated ribbon from my stash.
Coloring Media: oil pencils
Green Leaf: The image has a pumpkin leaf where the green "flower leaf" has been glued. The flower is from the dollar isle at Michael's. I think I got it last year at Christmas time. I took out the little stamen and added a hand made bead spray.
Edge Flowers: The flowers at the edges of the image have been in my stash for quite some time and I honestly have no idea where I got them. The leaves under the flowers are punched maple leaves.
Background paper: The background paper for this is also Very Vanilla from Stampin Up.
Brown Layer: The brown layer is Early Espresso from Stampin Up. I used the Cricut Craft Room Basics to cut out the lettering and used the negative space to achieve the look I wanted.

Here's a closer look at the image:

This was a very fun piece to make. I hope you like it!

Winter Wonderland

The theme this week at the Outlawz is "Snowmen." Now, I absolutely love snowmen and my house if full of them. I also have a ton of snowman images and it was difficult to chose one. But, when I finally did, this is what I came up with.....my first shaker card:

Here's the recipe:
Card Base: generic white card stock
Image: Disney coloring page
Blue paper: From recollections
Acetate: clear plastic from a Stampin' Up bag
Blue Glitter Paper: DCWV glitter stack
Snow globe base: Scrap brown paper
Silver shape: scrap metallic paper
Blue ribbon wrapped around base of snow globe: scrap piece from stash. I think it came from Studio G.
Silver Snowflake: Brad and charm from recollections.

I hope you like it! I think it turned out pretty cute for my first shaker card.
